Hey all,
I'm working away on the pledge manager today in hopes of having it ready for Monday. This is the first time we have used Backer Kit so I'm figuring it out gradually and testing a lot.
In the meantime, we have also been putting together Appearance cards and creating new art.
Things keep moving forward here. We'll be back next week when we open up the pledge manager. Until then, check out some of the campaigns our friends are putting together -
I worked along side Ains Yeager in the art department at Privateer Press where they were lead artist on the creation of the dozens of pins. And now Ains has their own line of awesome creative geekery! Seriously, check it out.
JUST A FEW DAYS LEFT to get an exclusive copy of THE UNTAMED: Still a Fool issue #1 from our pals at Stranger Comics. This is the third Volume in the epic fantasy series, which is in development at HBO! Also available on the campaign are beautiful hardcovers and their Mythic Games Miniature and official Paizo Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Look for their Gamer Level Rewards.
And that's it for now. See you soon.
Cheers - Ed
Hi all,
Just quickly touching base. We currently have 22 errored backers. What this means is that perhaps your credit card expired or some other issue came up with processing your pledge. Please double check that you are not one of the errored pledges if you want to make sure you get your Dossier Decks.
Here is what Kickstarter says about it -
Errors and dropped pledges
It is common for a few backers' pledges to fail to collect at the project's deadline. If this happens, here's what to expect:
Hope that helps any of you that might be in this situation.
We are working on the cards and putting together the pledge manager now. We should be reaching out by the end of September for everyone to finalize their rewards through Backer Kit.
Cheers - Ed
In case I have not properly introduced myself,
Hi, my name is Ed.
At times like this it is hard to find the words to convey the amount of gratitude I am feeling. Your support of this project has far surpassed my expectations and because of you I get to create the types of products I love. Thank you, I really don't know what else to say.
We do a lot with a little here at SkeletonKey Games. Many people might not know this, but SKG is more-or-less a single person company with little-ol-me at the helm. That said, without the support of a lot of others, we wouldn't be here. So, who else to thank...
My wife, Lora, has been instrumental in making SkeletonKey a success and over the last year-and-a-half she has been dedicating more and more of her time to the logistical end of the company. I couldn't run this thing without her.
Lars White, the lead writer on this project, has been my pillar during this campaign and we've spent many hours getting the word out about this endeavor and grumbling about canceled pledges.
The team at Nord Games and my friend Philip Reed have both done a ton of shout-outs for us through their various project updates and social media. This project would not have been nearly as successful without them.
Big thanks to everyone that promoted us through social media, shared our posts, and pushed this down the throats of their friends and family. Their pain was our gain.
And finally, once again, thank all of you for believing in this crazy idea I had and allowing me to sit in the office above my garage and get it made. It's going to be awesome.
I'll be back in a week or so with an update on the pledge manager which should go live around the end of the month. After that, we will update about every other week to keep you in the loop on our progress. Currently about 20% of the cards are complete and a lot more are in progress. There is writing, editing, art, and layout to be done and I'm excited to dig in!
Here's a piece I've been working on today!
We have picked up a lot of new customers with this campaign and we hope you will take the time to check out our Arcane Scrollworks line of hand-finished prop scrolls if you haven't seen them yet.
Arcane scrolls are currently available through third level along with a handful of Cleric and Druid scrolls.
There are also a few more days on our DriveThruRPG sale on digital products. This catalog consists primarily of our e-Adventure Tiles series and ranges all the way back to 2003.
One last thanks! Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have all been wonderful. I'll keep thanking you in future updates. For now it's time for me to collapse (or probably just tinker with some art). I've got a date with a sensory deprivation tank tomorrow courtesy of the previously mentioned (and always awesome) Lora. That will be a great reset to tackle what's ahead.
Cheers -
Ed Bourelle
Greetings all!
We have surged past the $28k stretch goal and now all backers at the Dossier Deck Quartet ($56) level will be getting the PDF decks for free with their pledge.
With just under 24 hours left you have unlocked our last stretch goal. With this being our first major out-of-house production, it is critical that we do not over commit ourselves. Remaining funds will ensure that this project is the best quality we can produce and if we can find ways to upgrade we will.
Now that I've confessed to having nothing left to bribe you with I'm just going to ask a straight-up favor. Please consider shouting this project out on social media and let's close big. If you are members of closed RPG groups get the message in there (don't break rules though). Share the link, tag @SKGames on twitter, everything helps.
Thank you! Your support is letting me live my dream.
Wednesday night is game night for me. I'm off to play the next chapter in our Rangers of Shadowdeep game. I hope you all get a chance to play your game of choice soon.
Cheers - Ed Bourelle
