Latest Updates from Our Project:

January 21, 2020 Production Update
over 4 years ago – Tue, Jan 21, 2020 at 01:54:50 PM

Greetings everyone,

Thank you for your patience on the update, I will be better about them. The delay is simply because there is nothing to report at this time. The files are with the printer and have been approved. Presently I am waiting for a digital proof which is taking longer than expected - so much so that the manufacturers have entered Chinese New Year which runs through Feb 8th. My US based rep will be back in the office on Feb 4th and I will begin hounding him right away.

The one thing I can update you on is the overall delivery schedule. Based on the timeline from Panda Game Manufacturing we will be receiving the decks in May (which means backers will be receiving them in June). While a couple months later than we hoped, this is just how things move with overseas manufacturing and we will have more accurate timelines on future projects.

My time now is spent working on future projects, including more Dossier Decks, while awaiting any action that is needed on this project.

Speaking of Future Dossier Decks

The decks for this campaign each have one additional card in them, not mentioned previously. We have included a promo Appearance Card to each deck featuring a character from an upcoming future deck. There is a different promo in each of the four decks and the characters featured will still work with the cards in that deck.

That's all for now, I'll be back in two weeks.

Cheers -

Decks are Headed to Print
over 4 years ago – Mon, Dec 09, 2019 at 01:09:34 AM

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your patience on the update. Upon returning from my trip I buried my head into getting everything wrapped up and I'm happy to say that we are ready to go to print. At this point we are just waiting for payment information from the printer so we can pay the deposit and upload files.

We are working with Panda Game Manufacturing, a well known and reliable manufacturer. They have been very communicative and I don't expect any surprises.

I've sent out a reminder to the remaining backers that still need to complete their BackerKit surveys and will be locking them just after the first of the year.

That's all for now but I'll keep you posted as things progress and hopefully in early January I will have some proofs to show off.

Cheers!

Progress Report and Art Preview
over 4 years ago – Mon, Oct 21, 2019 at 05:30:44 PM

Hey all,

Big thanks to everyone who has jumped on BackerKit to complete their pledge. If you haven't done so yet, please check for an email from BackerKit and complete the process as soon as you can.

Today I want to give everyone a look behind the scenes on how things are going on creating Dossier Decks.

Writing continues to roll in from Lars White and at this point we have about 75% of the content in one stage or another. Much of that 75% has already been through editing. The first draft of all the writing should be completed around the end of this week. Most of it will be much further along than a first draft.

We have selected our printer and I have built final layout templates for each type of card in InDesign. The actual layout process has also begun on the Merchants deck. By the end of the week all four decks should have at least the first steps of layout started.

We continue to gather artwork and were so excited about this new orc piece by Anna Janiszewska that we decided to use it on the cover of Dossier Deck: Orcs & Goblins.

Click the image to check out more of Anna's work and follow @dearHadrian on Twitter.

Anna has been a pleasure to work with and we have a couple more new pieces by from appearing in Dossier Deck: Commoners that you will be seeing more of soon.

There is tons more work to be done but we are hoping to have everything off to print by the middle of November. I'll be back soon to let you know how that's working out.

Cheers - Ed
